NASA’s Space Place educates and entertains kids, parents, and teachers about space and Earth science and technology.


We are:  The South West Florida Astronomical Society, Inc.  (SWFAS) P.O. Box 100127, Cape Coral, Florida  33910.

We meet the 1st Thursday of the month (7:30 P.M.):  Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium,  3450 Ortiz Avenue,  Fort Myers, FL 33905-7811.

The Southwest Florida Astronomical Society, Inc. was formed in 1980 by amateur astronomers in Lee County, Florida.  Its many goals include educating the public, school children, and scouts about the wonders of the night sky.  S.W.F.A.S. regularly works with the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium, as well as Florida Gulf Coast University with public observing events.
